Colorfuuul

Today we've painted on the white Winter's canvas with bright, happy colors!

We tricked her, pretending we're somebody else...

We played games and laughed...

We had a healthy Carnival lunch...

and then...

we let our spring wishes fly up in the sky!

I believe it's not the noise that drives away the Winter, but the colors! I hope you had a colorfuuuuul day, too!

Our dark side

We all have some good days and some bad days... How do you handle your bad days? Are you angry at yourself, do you simply ignore them or do you 'sit in the corner waiting that bad things disappear'?

Sometimes I'm really upset when dark clouds come (unannounced) and put my energy level down and the mood. Ok, I know that we wouldn't admire the stars if there were no dark nights to make the stars shine..., but sometimes even positive thinking doesn't work for me.

However, sometimes I'm prepared and then I try to use my creative imagination and play with my dark side until it is not bright again. I explore what we can create together: a B&W drawing, a magical box with a hidden treasure inside, a (dark) selfy with my camera... When playing with my dark side, I forget about what really bothers me, I put it on the paper and live it there... Sometimes, at art therapy, we have a process to burn the created work, but I prefer to transform it into something that I like instead. I take it as a lesson in my life, so I don't want to burn it to make it disappear.

So, why not make something creative or special with your darker side as well; instead of denying it or torturing yourself with it?? Look what you can do with your shadow, which is in a way a symbol of our darker side...

Just be who you are, be creative and may your dark side be an opportunity to express yourself in a special, unique way!

Tic-tac-tic-tac

Hours, minutes, seconds... and soon we will be back at the begining. How many of us will be begging and say: 'Could we start again, please'? How many words, thoughts, actions we'd like to erase from our memory, from our heart and soul?

Today, I'm giving you a big paintbrush, a white paint and freedom to cover all your unvonted spots on your painting of the year 2013. You are free to be what you want to be!

Question #18:

What will you not erase or repaint for sure from the year 2013?

This is the last question of the game 'Giving thanks, giving gifts'. You still have time to answer all the questions (You can find the rules in one of  the previous posts here and all the questions in all December posts) and share your thoughts with us. The game will close on January 6th.

Back in time

Do you often 'travel' back in time in your thoughts? Are you sorry for some days that they passed by unnoticed? Are you inspired by the people or achievements of previous centuries?

I can't stop being amazed by the old times. What they've achieved in architecture, how they lived their life with the nature, how they've experimented with the clothing...

I would like to have a peek into Da Vinci's daily life, or see how Michelangelo or Rembrandt managed to paint in a cold, difficult circumstances... Life of the farmers, slaves, poor people, composers, astronomists... Ooh, so much to learn, so much to admire!

Question #12:

Where back in time would you go to learn something new for your present life?

PS: The question is part of the game 'Giving thanks, giving gifts'. Join us! (You can find the rules in one of  the previous posts here and all the questions in all December posts). Rejoyce with us and have fun!
