Power of One

Have you ever wondered where's your place in this World? What can we really do among so many other people doing 'their' things?

I like to imagine that I am like one of the cells in my body... I do my job every day, I do the things that I feel I need to do, I do them the best I can. If I wander away from my direction, the World will get sick, just as we get sick when our cells stop functioning the way they supposed to...

So, I do believe every person on this planet is important. I count, you count, we count. I rely on you, you rely on me - in order to stay well and happy. I believe in the power of One.

Because of my belief, my next question is: 'What I can do to help others follow their direction?' I can't tell them where to go or what to do. They need to follow their own path, their own inner map. So, I help them in many different ways. As you know, I help some with art therapy and phototherapy techniques. I help the others with my little books and illustrations. This year I started to help with my images, my photos - transformed into greeting cards, they have a special mission to help people follow their paths. We are helping people via non-profit organization Kiva. They do a great job and I'm really happy to know that the power of one makes such a wonderful change in the World. We want every cell of our bodies to stay healthy, and we can gain this doing what we can at this moment, on this day and every day!

Ready or not?

Life. Goes. On. I'm still here, alive and kicking. Actually, I'm very, very alive. I decided to do something about MYself. I decided to listen to MYself more. I decided to work on MYself before a new year starts in less than two months. After all, I am alive, right?!

A few things are on my mind lately. One of them is bugging me for quite some time. Actually it's on my mind since dearest Marcie from Marcie Scudder Photography sent me a link to a special video to check it out. The video is not a super great quality one, but I like the message it carries. Because of it, I started to think about the followers of my blog(s) and what can a single person begin if someone starts following him/her.

Since I moved my Eng blog to this place I tried to gain back all the 60 followers I've had at the 'old' blog. I also tried to invite followers from my Slovene blog to join me here, so that after some time I will be able to close Slovene blog there and just stay with this one. But not many people connected with me here. I'm not really sure why... Any clues??

After I saw the video, I decided to share it with you, too. It's a good invitation to follow me on this blog, plus, it is an invitation to ask me to follow you on your blog (if I'm not doing it already). It's a small step toward you that I would like to make if our thoughts and intentions are the same. Let me know! (Write the link in the comments below so that I can check it out and follow you). This video reminds me of another special person who is doing a brilliant job too and is worth following for sure. Beth Nicholls from Do What You Love has started a mission a while ago to gather stories of people who do (or want to do) what they love - to inspire us and give us hope.

Today I am honored to be one of the many, sharing my story and inspire you. Everything is possible if you keep your dreams close to your heart and if you keep your eyes open! Am I ready or not, time is passing by. If you are ready or not, time is passing by. Use it wisely. I am trying focusing on something good and positive and inspiring... And yes, December will be here any time now, so soon, it will be time for another 'Giving thanks, giving gifts' game (find the game from 2010 here, and from 2009 here), this time it will be here, in our creative lab and a bit different again. A good reason to become a follower of this blog, right? ;)

Be-cause

For some time my head is chased by the thoughts about who am I, where I'm going and what to give to this world... What kind of a trail I leave behind? How deep I touch the hearts of others?

I've always believed that we are here with a specific purpose and cause - just the way we are, with our abilities and talents. We do not need to change ourselves into someone else, we do not need to be perfect, we can be poor or rich, small or big. What counts is the ability we have and which we spread around us the best way we can.

When you give to the world your skills and leave them to the Universe, you leave yourself to the flow that ensures a balance in the world. There is no need for questioning why and how, there are no unusual feelings. Everything, it seems, is in the right place. Be-cause.

Therefore I am pleased to tell you that I was very-very-very happy to take part in the project of Dom in Stil - with my contribution for a calendar 2012, which will be auctioned there to bring joy and to bring happiness to those in need. 12 artists from two countries tried to give what is the best in us - for you be-cause, to be a cause. I invite you to read more about the project at DIS's web site and join all of us who want to give the best pieces of ourselves to those who need our support and assistance. And do not forget to jump to the DiS's FB page, where every day is a special day. Go, go, go! Be-cause!
