Against it? Really?

Think again!

Life is the best school we’ve got to go to, I think. Lessons we learn are there for us exactly when we’re ready to deal with their message. Even when we sometimes think we can’t handle them, we always survive, right?

Transient

Mother Teresa once said (something like): 'I’m not against the war. I’m for peace.' At first they were just simple words for me, but later I thought I’d put more focus on those words and tried to understand why she chose to say them the way she did.

It’s all about energy, I believe. In whatever you put your energy, you will get a result. Actions are energy, words are energy, thoughts are energy. And if the energy is really strong, it becomes passion.
And now, think about what you’re passionate about. Are you for something or against something?
I stopped investing my energy into things I was against, when I saw my colleague passionately and with flame fighting a man whom he really hated. Criticizing him, proving what the man did wrong, focusing on the life of that man he didn’t like… in such a passionate way, that I thought he will explode (or get a heart-attack). And then I noticed that his passion against that man was as strong as of all those people who were for that man, believing he did everything right. They were on the opposite sides, but the power of their energies was the same. That’s when I started to understand Mother Teresa’s wise words and chose to put my energy into the things I wanted.

Of course, I still don’t want war, but I don’t give her power (energy) to help 'her' keep alive. Instead, I put doubled energy into actions, people and things that spread and grow peace, harmony.
You might still argue with me about this; but if you’re honest and you’re willing to evaluate one of your days, a single ordinary day of your life and answer this question: 'How much time and energy you invest in things you (would) like to see more in your life, and how much you invest into the things you are against?' Honestly? Now you probably understand what I want to say with this post. If you’re tired, empty, angry, upset, bored…, then you know where your energy went. Probably into fighting all the things you don’t want in your life. Think about it!

So, at the beginning of a new school year, I’d like to say to all the teachers and to all kids and their parents: stop fighting these silly battles 'against something', and rather focus on what you want to see (more of). Make a vision board if you’re visual, choose books that inspire you with positive (re)actions, find those potentials in people in which you want to invest your energy in. Live life and focus your energy into everything you want to see more of, in the classroom, too!

Imagine what seven billion humans could accomplish if we all loved and respected each other. Imagine. (A.D.Williams – Inside the Divine Pattern)

Utopia? Really? Think again!

And let this be the best school year for you ever! All the best from our creative Lab!

Never too late

There are some days when I wonder who holds my life in his/her hands... Is it really me, just me? Or is there something beyond my power, beyond my knowledge?

Transient

Sometimes my path brings me to the places I didn't want to go. Should I say thank you or complain? Should I stop there or continue my journey? I wish somebody would wisper the answer to my ear...

Transient

But I am grateful for my life. I found my place on Earth, where I can spread my love to Mother Nature, where my heart is full of joy when watching the sky, listening to water symphonies, and where the mountains protect you from evil.

One thing I know: if I was younger and braver, I would dedicate my life to Mother Nature and photography. I would want to be part of Yann Arthus Bertrand's team, educate young children how to take care of our planet, tell stories with pictures, heal ourselves with nature and pictures.
I still can't believe it how many children (and adults) don't know how to recycle or do other little steps to protect our planet, our environment, ourselves. We are all connected! We are One! (Maybe this magnificant video can explain what I mean:)

I wish they'd teach me in school how to live on planet Earth to keep its balance. I wish that at history lessons I wouldn't hear about us, humans, like we are the only living beings on the Earth - the history is not only ours... The history goes beyond us. I wish that at biology lessons I would learn how to touch a living creature to not hurt it, destroy it. How to take care of it, understand why it is there, its mission, its story - not because of us, but next to us... Everything is linked, everything is connected.

It is not too late to set ourselves free from our daily unimportant stories, written in our daily newspapers, on TV screens, on the radio. We can focus our 'cameras' onto the things that are important, important for us and important for our planet.  Set yourself free from your stories!

Transient

Balance yourself, be you (the person who lives in your heart), let the Earth and Universe inspire you to live a life above the games people play to avoid responsibilities and to pretend there's nothing to be done.

Set yourself free, - it is not too late, and listen to the Mother Earth. She has a lot to say...

Earth of plenty

The last few months I was lucky enough to spend some time in Nature's lap. I could see how mother Earth took care of her child (- Nature) and made her feel good.

Transient

From time to time she washed her and showered her. For the holidays she dressed her into white. With the wind she helped the Nature to fix her hair. And with the singing birds she gently woke her up. When you are so close to this magnificant being, like in a womb of mother Earth, you don't have any words left. Quietly you listen to the beating of big heart, decanting of blood (the rivers and streams) through the blood vessels, surrendering to the rhythm which takes you away. The time flies, but you feel fulfilled and happy - in the world of abundance, the world of plenty.

Transient

I hope, the day, when I will be able to share this love to Earth with kids and you, is near. That we all get closer to Nature, to caress her with our creative hands and to whisper tender lullabies to her ear. The time in the womb, in silence, is almost over..., the birth is near by and hopefully there will be enough time for new experiments, explorations - with the camera or without it. Although, I must admit, the silence is so full of rich words..., that it is hard to leave this safe and fulfilling world.

Transient

The Earth of plenty is round and it never ends. It gives, gives, gives in so many different ways, that we would finally see, understand, take and give - like she does. I've never met such a creative, universal being as the Earth is. Therefore, dear Earth, all the best and let me touch you and feel you for many, many more years. Thank you!

Transient

I believe it's not the noise that drives away the Winter, but the colors! I hope you had a colorfuuuuul day, too!

Special: What is needed for creativity

Today, I am delighted to share another special story with you. It is written by Slovene blogger Saša - Lunaspi. I love her blog, because she has so many interesting things to do in her life, and she writes about that in a very special, humorous way. Her freshness always makes my days.

Here is her story:

Transient

"I'm not creative person. I have a friend who is very creative. He always does something creative. But I am not creative at all", says my little nephew with a serious face. He articulates the word creative with great importance. I hold in a laugh.

"But, when you get dressed in the morning, you surely choose which sweater to wear, and that is also creativity. You create with colors,"… am trying to encourage him.

The boy, who is sitting on the steps, looks at me: "You know exactly what I mean. I am not creative person."

So, I'm not compelling him to do something 'creative'. No drawing, painting, creating paper, clay or other things. Instead we play board games and nobody thinks about the word creative anymore.

Months passed by. The boy goes to school.

"Do you know that your nephew drew the best drawing in the classroom?"

"How come?" I ask.

"We had to persuade him, but when he started, it all went well."

On his next visit, my nephew says he will draw a scorpion with a poisonous arrow on the tail for me.

"You can die if it stings you", he says. "Should I draw it?"

"Aaagh", I say theatrically, "can it at least be at the sunset, so that I can admire the horizon before I die?"

"Okey", he says and laughs.

He thinks a little bit and I hold back my breath. He takes brown colored pencil and draws a scorpion. He stresses out the sharp point on the tail of the scorpion, so that the paper hardly bares the pressure. I'm a bit worried how will he solve the situation with sunset, but the boy takes a yellow colored pencil and draws right next to the brown line, so that the poisonous animal glows in the sun.

"Here", he gives me the drawing.

"Ooooo, can I hang it on the wall? Will it sting me?" The boy shakes his head. When we're attaching the drawing on the wall, he starts to explain to me what else he'll draw for me and where's still some space on the wall for his drawings. And I am wondering where did that uncreative person disappear.

What stimulates and what blocks creativity?

When I read what is needed for a human being to be creative, there is one word that impresses me: to dare. To be brave. To be brave to present your own ideas, your own style and your own way, even if you are a beginner, a little clumsy in your first steps.

This is just an ordinary courage, which run away from me the other day when I went into a shop with hats. From all the beautiful creations on wire stands, I chose an ordinary black cap, although I wanted a real hat!

Question #17:

How brave are you in expressing your creativity?

PS: The question is part of the game 'Giving thanks, giving gifts'. Join us! (You can find the rules in one of  the previous posts here and all the questions in all December posts). Rejoyce with us and have fun!
