Looking forward seeing you there!

Posted on November 15, 2010 and filed under exhibitions, my works, soon to be.

Today...

...I feel better than yesterday and even better than over the weekend... I've got sick with a virus and I had to spend the weekend in bed.
After a special diet, full of vitamins, minerals, time without books, computer, phone, talking, etc, etc, I'm back on my feet and will be able to attend the openning of the exhibition in castle Turjak (today at 7 p.m. - you could read about it on my website and FBpage). There you can play a detective and look for my art work (actually, there are 3 ;) ).

If you can't make it, then you can make yourself busy with creative work. How about painting the wooden frame?!

Of course you will find the instructions how to do that on the www Dom in Stil, when you click the link:

If you don't know what kind of colour of the frame to choose for a particular painting, you'll find some tips about that in the article as well.

That's about it for today. Tomorrow...
Hm, tomorrow I'll have to be in even better shape as I'll have workshops with kids in one of the libraries. Ooops, I guess you've read about that on my website already, right?

Stay healthy and 'on the go'!

Sweet Istria 2010

We were in Koper.

We had a beautiful weather... well, with some clouds.

But we were safe under the roof just in case of the rain (which was later proved to be a wise decision, because it was shower in the afternoon).

This year Sweet Istria was sweet for sure.

I admit, I was slow and I didn't manage to photograph the creative process and artists at work. Again, I worked with glittering in the sea - see the detail bellow (I won't show you the whole painting as it will be exhibited in the galleries around Slovenia, so you'll have to come and see it yourself).

I only managed to take pictures of some boats after I finished the painting.

And at the end I had some time to enjoy in a warm, nice evening.

This year at Sweet Istria I also enjoyed in some interesting moments: chatting about frescoes, art, having fun hearing oooh and aaaaah's when people looked at my own creations, talking about painting cabinets, photography, creating with children and child psychology, and more and more. No wonder that there was no time for the creativity! ;)

And another interesting (not so nice) thing has happened to me.
One lady has photographed my illustrations, which were placed on display in the 'album'. She just turned the pages and photographed page by page. Without asking for permition, without even looking at me. ????? I didn't want to make a big deal out of it at first (I was too tired to quarrel) but just when I wanted to say something to her, she finished her photo 'session' and went away.
Well, this is something I've never really experienced before and would like to hear your opinion. What to do?
And one more thing to ask you ... if you notice my works published somewhere without any credits (on FB or blog or...), please let me know. I guess, I'll have to take matters more under control and not simply trust that all are familiar with basic behaviour and rules of the game... Unfortunately...

But to sum this up, Sweet Istria was once again fun and creative, and it's always a pleasure to be creative together with other artists - inspiring!
